Communication

Fostering relationships with our families is important. We want to encourage communication between our teachers and their students. We also want families to be respectful of your personal space and allow your time off the clock to truly be off the clock.

Family Communication: All communication about students at The Bird's Nest must go through the student application being used, a written letter with a copy in the student file, or through phone call made on the daycare phone line with conference notes recorded for the student file. Personal cell phones should not be used to communicate with parents as they are expected to be put away during an employee work shift. All communication should be reported and/or made available to the directors as teachers are not always here for morning drop off or afternoon pick up. This allows everyone on staff to be consistent in their communication with families. Incident and Accident reports should be disclosed to directors immediately. The paper for parents to sign should be kept in the office once completed.
