Cell Phones & Electronics Cell Phone and Electronics: The Bird's Nest Day School does not permit personal cell phones and electronic communication devices including iPads, computers, laptops, notebooks, Kindles, electronic readers and any other electronic devices with communication capabilities. It is our policy that all employees, apart from Administrators and Directors, are not to be on cell phones and/or other electronic communication devices while working. Personal electronic communication devices, including cell phones, should be put away. Should there be an emergency, please direct family members, children's schools or others who may need to reach you to call the work place number (904-901-6378) and you will be notified immediately. Apple watches are approved to wear, with the understanding that it is a time keeping device. You may not communicate on it, while clocked in. All classrooms have an Alexa. You may pair your phone with the Alexa to utilize playlists, audio books or sleep sounds. Once paired your phones should not be needed. Using a cell phone or any personal electronic device in the workplace, while on the clock is an offense for which one may be terminated immediately.
